Roots Rocks and Reptiles exists to support reptiles through responsible rescue and practical education. We focus on helping people understand the animals they keep and giving them the tools to provide better care.

Roots Rocks and Reptiles is a reptile rescue and education focused organization based in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We support reptiles and invertebrates through rescue, practical care guidance, and community education. Our goal is to make reptile care feel less overwhelming and more accessible, while keeping the animals’ long term health at the center of everything we do.

Roots Rocks and Reptiles started from seeing how often reptiles are kept with incomplete or unclear care. Many animals end up neglected, surrendered, or struggling simply because their needs are not fully understood. Reliable information can be hard to find, and it is easy for new owners to feel overwhelmed or misled.

This work is about closing that gap. By focusing on clear, practical education and real world experience, the goal is to help people make better decisions and improve outcomes for the animals in their care.

Right now, Roots Rocks and Reptiles focuses on hands on rescue work and practical education within the community. This includes:

• Taking in reptiles and invertebrates that need to be rehomed
• Stabilizing and improving their condition through consistent care
• Helping owners better understand the needs of the animals they keep
• Offering guidance, resources, and limited supplies to support proper care

Everything is done with a focus on long term health, realistic expectations, and doing what is best for the animal.
